Taking Stock

Methods of Investing

Stocks:

When most people hear "investing," stocks are what come to mind. There are several different types of stocks, though, so it's important to know which is best for you. Here's a brief rundown of two:

DRIPs and DSPs: These stand for Dividend Reinvestment Plans and Direct Purchase Stock Programs, and are a great way to jump into investing without spending too much. They allow you to purchase stock right from the companies, usually without a commission. Coca-Cola®, for instance, lets you invest for as little as $10 after buying your first share. The links below will tell you more about these programs and which companies offer them.
